Anne and I made a very sad discovery last Friday morning. We drove out to Wynnum by the sea here in Brisbane with a 3-tier English morning tea from the very English Pommes teashop in mind and discovered that they will be closing down soon. What a loss! They make the best sausage rolls in Brisbane as well as providing the fanciest morning tea.
Apparently, Australia’s idiotic Immigration Dept. has said that the proprietors have to go back to England. The fact that they employ 7 people and provide a greatly appreciated service does not matter, apparently.
They have done nothing wrong. It is just that they do not fit into any category that the bureaucrats allow to settle here.
Queensland State parliamentarian Paul Lucas is appealing on their behalf so emails to him deploring this silly decision would be a great idea.
Australia allows lots of unemployable people from places like the Lebanon and the Sudan to settle here and live off the Australian taxpayer but hard-working English people who create jobs are sent home! Only a bureaucrat could makes sense of it.

While I am not prepared to go into specifics of the matter he has detailed (privacy considerations are paramount), I can advise BNN that in fact the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIMA) is actively involved with the client helping to determine which is the best option for he and his partner to pursue their business interests down under. And we have been for some time, so it has absolutely nothing to do with this blog, or any other attention.
Further, I would reject outright the racist and discriminatory tone of the posting, towit “Australia allows lots of unemployable people from places like the Lebanon and the Sudan to settle here and live off the Australian taxpayer but hard-working English people who create jobs are sent home! Only a bureaucrat could makes (sic) sense of it.” DIMA is proud of the non-discriminatory immigration programme it provides to the Australian Government which contributes to our society and economic advancement through the lawful and orderly entry and stay of people. We are equally proud of our record as one of the top three nations in the world to offer settlement to the world’s refugees and humanitarian entrants which last year (2005/06) filled, and next year (2006/07) will provide 14 000 places for some of the world’s most needy people fleeing persecution and other appalling living conditions. In fact more than 600 000 refugees and humanitarian settlers have made their new home in Australia since the Second World War.
I can assure the poster, and readers, that the department and its hard-working staff are anything but, as Johnjayray suggests, “idiotic”.

Multiculturalism is destroying Australia. Racism in Australia exists because races are not meant to be mixed. If everyone embraced this multiculti bullshit propaganda, then we would all mix and who would be unique then? Many white people don’t want to live in mixed societies, but this new multiculti thinking is destroying white mans first world creation. Australia will be a third world country in about 20-30nyears, or as soon as the white population of Australia drops below 50%. White mans biggest problem is that he lacks a racial consciousness. Only dickheads want to let enormous numbers of refugees inti Australia, so Aussie taxpayers can support them. The Japanese must be laughing their nuts off at the Aussies. White man has a healthy disrespect for the law, while Asians for example have an unhealthy disrespect for the law.
