phil mcgraw, his wife and son are vultures who prey on people who had difficulties,hardhip and are in a weakened state. how pathetic and evil that he makes millions on the hardship of others.

he is a nasty condescending phony and ought to be in jail

he needs to learn to speak english properly instead of sayins “git” and all sorts of
“aw shucks” language to make himself look like he is just one of the people when behind their backs he thinks they are losers and then laughs all the way to the bank

Most, if not all, states require that an individual be licensed as a psychologist to be able to call yourself a psychologist (not just the title Licensed Psychologist, but any use of the title Psychologist). Simply having a degree is not sufficient. Each state has it’s own licensing criteria; in addition to passing a licensing test, the state also checks coursework and supervised pre-doctoral practicums and internships, and post-doctoral supervised residency experiences.

@Angsin even if an individual state’s requirements for licensing were to merely have a PhD in psychology, he would still have to obtain a license to practice in each state he wanted to practice psychology in. Almost all states require passing state board testing and continuing education for each licensing period in addition to a Masters or PhD level education. If he isn’t licensed in any of the states then it is illegal for him to charge for psychological counseling or to pass himself off as a licensed psychologist.

I saw NBC promoting this woman Carmen harra, a psychic as a “psychologist.” That is very dangerous for a responsible new oprganization to promote someone without the educational background, training and state licensing as a psychologist.

Carmen Harra claims (on her official website) degrees from “Albert university” in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.

Albert University is a famous diploma mill. It is not a legitimate school.

This is a disgrace.

There is no need to put the title “Dr” in quotes. Phil McGraw has an earned PhD from a US Dept of Ed recognized regionally accredited school.

That he should not promote himself as a psychologist and offer services that a psychologist with CURRENT state board licensing is the issue.

McGraws doctorate would entitle him to practice in most states in any case.
