As a follow-up to what I reported earlier, Dana Jacobson was a guest roaster at an Atlantic City, NJ ESPN event for the Mike & Mike show on the 12th. She was supposed to be offering a comedic “roast” of show hosts Mike Golic and Mike Greenburg, but instead offered a profanity laced, drunken rant when it came her turn at the dais during which she blurted out “F**k Jesus.”
Well, it looks like the folks at ESPN weren’t amused because Jacobson has been suspended for her outrageous comments.ESPN benches Jacobson
Sources have confirmed that Jacobson, a co-host of “First Take” on ESPN2, currently is serving a one-week suspension because of her behavior at a Jan. 11 roast for ESPN Radio personalities Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic at Atlantic City, N.J.
She’s really sorry, though.
In a statement, Jacobson said, “I am sorry. My remarks about Notre Dame were foolish and insensitive. I respect all religions and did not mean anything derogatory by my poorly chosen words. I also deeply regret the embarrassment I’ve caused ESPN and Mike and Mike.
“My actions at the roast were inappropriate and in no way represent who I am. I won’t make excuses for my behavior, but I do hope I can be forgiven for such a poor lack of judgment.”
It’s good to see that some standards of conduct are being upheld somewhere in the media.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackShe said “F**king Touchdown Jesus” when talking about Notre Dame. Who really cares…It was a roast! Maybe it would have been funnier if she just made some one-liners. Not! Anyway, Notre Dame still sucks at football.
Dose not matter if she was talking about Notre Dame people like me take Jesus very seriously.Jesus to me is a simportant as my family and insulting him is like insulting my family. Now she just needed to watch what she says and so do you Dave cause ya int big on the internest boy.The fact is people today think they can just go around insulting peoples God and Jesus and thinks it dose not affect other people.Sorry but it dose it affects my son who is a christian it affects every christian.Isults about Jesus is like some one saying f— my dad because thats how important Jesus is to allot of Christians. Its more then reading the bible and raiseing a Christian family. Its also to be Christians is to believe that Jesus is the son of God.So simply put insulting Jesus by any slander is insulting my family cause Jesus is apart of my family from a picture of him on my wall to takeing my kid to church.Jesus is as much apart of my family as any thing else.
I have heard people say things much worse at other roasts but they are comics or actors, its their job, people expect it from them. I think much of the reaction was shock-” I can’t believe what that nice woman Dana Jacobson said!” I don’t have a problem with it personally but I’m not the one that has a contract with her.Maybe if the statement was funny she would get a pass.I like Dana on First Take.Dana don’t change your attitude, just practice your stand-up routine.
