Roulph is an idiot. Try and think back, unless you are so young as to have no point of reference, to the old B monster movies of the 1950's warning us of the dangers of radiation. Same general idea, although far more postmodern. We are never given the "answer" as to what or why or where this thing comes from. We only know we are almost helpless, as was many at the beginning of those old films. The difference now is that while there is a reference to "us" winning (how would they find the video camera?) the interpretation is still in the hands of viewer. Very unsettling, which is exactly the point.

Sue the distributors? Stupid.

Just watched it and I can honestly say that at the end of the movie without exception the people sitting around me thought it was total crap. Some even demanded there money back. It was the worst film I have seen in 35 years of movie going. The hand held cam caused several people to suffer sea sickness I will be very surprised if someone does not sue the distributors. If you have epilepsie stay away

Most reviews have missed the point. This is a love story on a grand scale.
It speaks of the results of decisions, loyalty, friendship, courage, and love.
I give it 5 stars out of 5 stars. It was like watching a modern opera or a
modern shakespeare. A truly beautiful piece of work.
The monster was almost an analogy of what drives us to do what it is we do.
At times it seemed the monster didn't matter.

Awesome .. I’ve been looking up reviews and info for this film, and it seems to be getting pretty solid ratings. And it’s really interesting that they’re promoting the film with the fallen Statue of Liberty..it definitely sets an undertone of the America being attacked..Maxim actually did a little bit on it.
