<description>Hello, I have been diadnosed by my plastic ENT surgeon that the terrible pussy weeping mess on the tip of my nose was a result of a staph infection as mentioned above in your article. It had manifested 1 year prior to this and I was told by a pharmasist that it was just due to our freezing winter weather ( I live in the Blue Mountains) and just to give it time as it will clear up in good time! It did actually clear up after the puss turned to scab, I peeled it off and it then became pussy again, scabbed again and so forth for about 2 weeks. A year to 18 months later it flared up again, this time I went to the ENT surgeon who gave me the advice I spoke of earlier prescribing Bacroban ointment to treat it. I am currently on my 5th day applying it morning, noon and night but my query is more related to the shiny pink scar like marking where the infection is situated. Up close it looks a bit like a skin graft where you can see like small capillaries/membranes etc, shiny and smooth which I am very self conscious about on an aesthetic level. My work involves up close and personal liaisons with clients under bright down lights and I was hoping you could explain to me what this is. Sorry for the lengthy comment but I wanted to be specific. I appreciate your time.

Regards
