I myself, have been one of those whom have been very critical through the years & still have to fight against it. It still plagues me, however, at times. I wish it didn't but like any bad habit learned, and bad habits that are "hard to break" this bad habit is also a very hard one to breakk. First of all, we don't actually "know" all the facts regarding the Chapman family. I used to absolutely "hate" this show, but have slowly found myself kind of interested in the story of their lives, the ups an downs, trying to keep their children out of the limelight as much as possible, & weathering the hard knocks in life...some unfair and some of their own doing. How many of us can say we "never" have said the wrong thing?! I despise racism in every way & have experienced it from people regarding me, or friends and relatives I love. It is ugly, nonproductive, hateful, etc. Why would ANYONE think they are better than another person for ANY REASON?! We ALL belong to God our Father & we are ALL His kids & one day will all be together as one big family. Every person has somethiing to offer. Every person is different & that makes knowing them unique, special, etc. So come on people, lets not keep re-hashing the past over & over. I don't care for "everything" they do, but I watch the show just for a little different flavor amongst my tv shows. I can always turn the off button, but it should be "my choice." Obviously, I do NOT agree with racist remarks, racism, or racism they TRY to associate with God (which I really despise)intolerance of others who happen to be different, etc. If you don't want to watch the show, don't, but if you enjoy a different flavor of show & like it, then watch it. Bottom line is they are helping people who come to them in their own time of need, and they help these people, who then take advantage of the Chapmans and try skip bail and leave the Chapmans to foot the bill! They more than earned the right to go out and catch these people who aren't keeping their end of the deal! I personally think that more than half of the people/bail jumpers they do catch and bring in, would have only positive things to say about their experience with Dog and what he has done for them,not to them. I've never seen another show where the guys in cuffs is opening up to the guys who just cuffed them, and says "Thank you Dog", then shakes his hand before being turned over to the cops at the station!
