I'm no longer practicing, but that hasn't changed my personal feelings towards ALL of the church's teachings. However, just because it's something that I am personally against, I don't feel it's my obligation to impose my religion on other people. Every person has their own beliefs and values, and it's up to them to make their own decisions. My personal belief is that if there WERE a God, there is no way he would allow all of the war and suffering that goes on in his name. Many religious conservatives try and tell me, well if you don't believe in God, then why do you bother following your Christian values? LMAO Christian Values? Since when did treating your fellow man with dignity and respect become sole property of the Christian conservatives? You probably assume that I'm a liberal, pot-smoking, pill popping lunatic from reading this post, so allow me to share a bit about myself: I'm 35, been dating my girlfriend for a year now. I've never tried an illegal drug in my life. I drink occasionally during holiday parties or on a celebratory occasion. Oh, and I voted for Bush in the past 2 elections!
