Many people across the world have been cheated this Christmas by a scam site running under the names Style Runway, Fashion Putz, Fashion Runway and many others. The site offers allegedly authentic designer brands for huge discounts but, as is often the case, it is too good to be true.
Hundreds of Internet consumers have ordered through their site which offers delivery in 5-7 business days, but have either never received their goods or have received cheap imitations weeks after the promised delivery date. When the customers placed their order they invariably were sent a confirmation email without a tracking code and told that it would take 2-3 business days before a tracking code would be available.
For those that did receive their shipment, the products were sent from China without return address information or packing slips. The clothing is cheaply made and falls apart without even being washed. Others waited months without receiving anything. The phone number for the company has been disconnected, emails go unreturned and the live chat is rarely operational.
Several customers who got tired of waiting for their purchases attempted to cancel their order but were told that the item had already shipped or were simply not answered at all. Others were told that the item was out of stock and were charged repeatedly for their purchases. On occasion, customers were informed that their credit card had been declined and were asked to resubmit their card information. Scam comment sites are cropping up all over the Internet and the list of victims is growing. One site found here has over 100 comments from customers that have been taken in by this Israel based company.
If you are considering a purchase from a site that you are unfamiliar with, it is important to do some research. Investigate with the Better Business Bureau or Google the name of the company for rip off alerts. It is always best to stick with sites that are well known and have good reputations. Whenever possible, utilize PayPal to protect your personal information and remove the risk of repeated charges. If you are unfortunate enough to get scammed, do other consumers a favor and report the company immediately.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackOMG!!! I have just made a purchase from them on the 18th of this month and have not received anything. I had a feeling that something was not right but had no idea that this would happen.
I purchased over $1500 worth of handbags, and was emailed 4 times from “stylerunway” regarding denial of my credit card – they asked me to resubmit my card. Then I resubmitted my order and they sent me approval messages but I couldn’t get anyone to email me back when I asked a simple question regarding the status of my order. They removed the funds from my account and I have absolutely no merchandise. I’m not able to get through on their “toll free” line. I had to report fraud to my bank. I hope someone gets locked up behind this bogus website.
In a way I am more relieved than anything – I was getting so
frustrated as I was being completely ignored!!!
I purchased from this supplier on the 6th December and
eventually received a very cheap and damaged bag which is
useless.
I have emailed so many times to returns, sales and customer
serivce and have spent hours on the live chat waiting for a
response.
I will contact my credit card company to make sure no further
funds are taken and let them deal with it. I hope they get
what they deserve – JAIL!!
Thanks for the heads up!!
I am so glad I have looked on your site, I thought I was going to go mad with frustration!!
This site has taken $300 dollars from my credit card and I have not recieved any goods. As stated by several people I tried the live chat and surprise surprise got no response, I tried emailing them and again got no response.
I would warn anyone thinking of buying from this site to steer clear as it is quite clearly a scam.
Funny, same thing happened to me! I knew when I didn’t see”http “s” on the checkout page, there was something up. Thank God my credit card is cancelled and I will get my $300 back eventually even if I get the clothes and they fall apart or not as described, I will get my money back. I emailed them to tell them that I reported them for fraud. I called them to state the same. I emailed them also. I will NOT stop here! Where can we report these fools? Any online complaint form? Let me know because I am fuming mad! I told them I found out they were a scam website. She quicky ended the chat session. Anyone else who got scammed, do the same thing. Contact that “live operator” and tell them how you feel and what you intend to do. I guarantee you that you will speak to a “JACOB” or a “SINDY” and you will receive emails from “SEBASTIAN T.” Try it out! Use a different name if you have to. They won’t respond to you if they recognize your “real name” I had difficulty logging on to the live chat until I used a different made up name. Let’s get these scammers shut down!
This website and absolutely FAKE!
I placed an ordered on Dec,21/07 and still have not received any of the items that i ordered. At first, it said that my credit card did not go through and that i had to re-submit my order, which i did.
Still, i have not received anything and i tried calling their 24 hour help line and emailing them bout the status of my order. Nothing has happened. I now have to call into my credit card company to try to get my money back and to top it offm they took our more money than they should of.
SO PLEASE, BE CAREFUL AND DONT ORDER FROM THIS SCAMMMMMM WEBSITE. ITS ALL FAKE.
I ordered a coat for christmas and the money was taken out but I have not recieved anything from this company I am going to contact a lawyer and find
out what actions I can take. If anyone has information on who we can contact to
file a suit or complaint please let me know.
I to got scammed an reported this company to the BBB on line. I was told the FBI is suppose to be investigating them and trying to shut them down. They are not based out of Glenville CA but are using a credit card machine In Great Britian. I know I have been scammed but I also found away to get back at their company and stop some people from making the same mistake as me.If you’re interested you can contact me on sherbriana@verizon.net. I also printed out all my live chat and saved my packaging which I faxed to the BBB and they will turn that info over to the FBI
What should I do if I got scammed too? Will credit card companies refund my charges there? please help
I was scammed to. I have talked to ‘Jacob’ and ‘Sindy’ many times that tell me all sales are final. Do not order from this website. I recieved my cloths but they were fake. I could have done a better job in my print shop. I hope the FBI does investigate. Please send the word around.
I was scammed too. I hope the FBI really does get involved and shuts these people down. Think of all the money they are making off of others. I am a single mom and can’t afford to have these kind of scams happen to me.
Please avoid shopping on the Style Runway web site. I visited the site for weeks in November and December of 2007. However, I didn’t make a purchase because there was no contact information posted on the web site such as a company phone number, address and a person to speak with. The only contact available was a chat room which seemed to be staffed by the same three unprofessional people.
Mid December 2007, I was told to call 877 9 Runway and speak with Adam (a Supervisor). At that point, I needed questions answered prior to making a purchase. So, I left several messages, but no one returned my calls. The last week of December, they posted the 877 9 Runway phone number on their web site and I was finally able to reach someone to address my concerns.
December 25, 2007, I made a scaled back purchase from $1200 to $348 to limit
the amount of money at possible risk. Like many others, my card was declined and it took until Jan 15, 08 to speak with Jeff. He claimed he completed the transaction and said they would send a confirmation email along with a tracking number. At that time, I advise Jeff I will remain in constant communication with my bank regarding this transaction. Three days and three calls later, I received neither an email, nor tracking number. So, I called Style Runway on Jan 17, 08 and reminded Jeff of our previous conversation. He then sent a very generic email that simply said my order was processed and will be shipped.
One hour later on the same day, I receive a phone call from the fraud department at my bank. Apparently, the merchant account is in the name of Web Fashion, and the HDQ is in St. Kitts, not California. The bank advised me to google both names to find out if there were any scam reports. Further, the bank assured me my money would be returned if in fact this was a scam. This was the best advise and information of the day.
So, I called Style Runway and Spoke with Jeff and a Supervisor by the name of Mark. I explained everything my bank had informed me of. Neither of them knew where the company HDQ was located. Mark went on to say they don’t offer refunds on sale items. I advised him that information was not posted on the web site. In fact, the web site indicates they will give refunds.
He said my order was not shipped and processed a refund to my account and within 10mins, I received a refund.
Therefore, I will purchase my Chanel hand bag from the Chanel store. This way, I know my handbag is authentic, as well as the in-store assistance with questions and concerns. Hopefully, you will do the same.
A big thank you to all who posted here!
I was going to order from this site but found it suspicious over this past week. Many items are no longer listed( womens clothing, men’s clothing)on the site. I was especially suspicious after trying to get additional information on several items from the live help. I talked to a “Sindy”, though I think it was a computer bot because none of the answers that I received from “Sindy” had anything to do with the questions I asked. It appeared to be scripted answers.
After the ‘live help’ I decided to Google the S.R. site and found this blog. I was saved $1300. I hope all of you are able to recover your money. I had looked at this site for over a month. It looked legitimate to me – until just this last week. I hope the criminals are caught.
Thanks for sharing your stories.
A BIG t.y. to all had the same experience. I had been looking at this site since the begining of December also. Was very much interested in placing orders also. But I had decided to wait, as knowing I would not get it in time for the holidays. Then I decided to come back and visit again, and to my surprise none of the clothing items were available. I found that to be rather odd. So I actually had them saved to my fav. but then I still decided to enter their name manually. Thats when I came across this blog thank heavens. Defintely do your research girls. The net is the easiet target for scams
I ordered back in mid Nov for some stuff that never arrived..after a few weeks of not getting a hold of anybody or getting same bs from live chat..i started sending nasty emails..i would only get a response back about 4 days later saying it was shipped, was being shipped, or its out of stock or some bs line like that. So I called my bank and told them what happened, they immediately put a dispute on that charge and said if you dont have your items within 30 days they will pursue fraud charges. I then sent another nasty email telling them what my bank said and miraculously, my account was credited back the money within 2 days. To all who purchased, I suggest call your bank immediately and tell them about the scam. Good luck everybody..I hope these guys get what they deserve too!!
Everything listed above happened to me Dec. 6th, 2007. I disputed the charge with my credit card company (currently removed, pending merchant response) and I also filed a report with IC3 which is a government internet fraud department.
Learned one thing from all of this, search the internet for reports on this BEFORE you trust an unknown site
Hi ordered an Abercrombie & Fitch hoodie off this website – had found it on UK websites but the temptation for a saving was too great to resist. Order was placed on 27/12 and money taken from my account on 02/01. 4 emails, about 10 phone call attempts later and no hoodie received.
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE!! I have now reported this to my bank and the money will eventually be credited back to my account, but wish I never had the hassle!
You will NEVER get a reply from their email – You will NEVER be able to get through. I didn’t get through to anyone, but managed to get through to a voicemail. And of course, no one called me back.

i also have been bent right over and funked in tha ace!!! it is funny that tha us has a very good relationship with isreal wich is were these clowns are located it would not surprise me if this is tha work of tha usa government!! i aint crazy open ur eyes people they in fact can and will get away with whatever they want i hope they burn in hell!
I have also purchased goods from this Website, I ordered on the 27th December and have continued to wait until this time.
Its now been 6 weeks and I have started to get a little concerned, so I’ve E mailed 3 times in the last few days, with no response.
I have found this website this morning whilst searching for STYLE RUNWAY again to check if their online help is available.
Reading all your comments has made such a clear picture on how this “company” operate, and I must say I feel deeply upset.
I have wanted a Juicy tracksuit for years and decided to treat myself to one, the fact that they are hard to get hold of in the UK made me look abroad, I have travelled to NYC previously and seen them there so decided this would be the best place to get one from, HOW WRONG WAS I??!!!
I have already been in touch with my mum whilst composing this E mail as she paid for my goods on her credit card, she has called me back saying her credit card company has assured her that no further payments will be taken without her saying so and that we are insured for the money that has already been taken.
So please if you paid by credit card, call them ASAP and they can sort it out for you. This situation has made me so wary of the internet, I’ve never really trusted E Bay but now it seems the safer option!!!!!
Tell me you guys feel the same like I do! I don’t even know how to express how stunned even if they got busted.
Everybody should inform the government internet fraud department before they go further; today it’s Style Runway and tomorrow it will be who knows what.
I didn’t receive a thing, always this “international shipping takes longer” excuse and it’s about two months ago.
I don’t even try to call or write anymore… do you think I can get my money back if I talk to the bank??
Everybody be adviced, it’s true you can’t trust no one!
Yep, I was one of those people who fell into this trap.I ordered a pair o Ug boots & it wasn’t even really that great of a deal. They did send me one email, but I kept calling them, but always go the answering machine.I emailed them several times after this & received no reply.I googled them & I found all this fraud info. They did charge my credit card & I contacted my credit card & I received my money back. Please call your credit card company immediately. My fear is they will never be caught. This is the 2nd time I was a victim of theft. The other was in Saint Martain on Orient Beach. Don’t go there, they are all thieves and work together. Unfortunely, now I trust no one. They may not be caught, but at the end, they will have to answer to their maker.
Well, guys, looks like the “Style Runway” website is SHUT DOWN! Like I said, I got scammed out of a few hundred dollars BUT I was immediately refunded that amount from my credit card company and chenged my account number. I had “Style Runway” on my “Favorites” list and clicked on the link every now and then. FINALLY, today, 03/12/08, there was no such page found! We got the last say people. Ler’s just hope these idiots are behind bars where they belong!
I also ordered 2 pairs of jeans from this company. They were christmas presents and I have never received them. Unfortunately I paid by debit card so I dont know if I am covered with them. They are nothing but thieves.
I have just been looking at another website and they are advertising for Style Runway and the postal address they have is:
Guyana Corporation
Ltd 7 Petwort Road Haslemere
Surrey, United Kingdom
GU27 2JB
dont think is going to be off any use but if anyone wants to pass it on to authorities please do so.
I purchased a Christian Audigier sweater for about $100 on their Christmas Sale and a girlfriend that bought the same one in town for $250 was so exactly the same I couldnt tell the difference. If it was a fake, it was almost worth it because its still in good shape and I recieved mine in a sealed bag with a gift certificate within 6 weeks. But I sympathize with those of you who werent so lucky. Its just strange that I never got completely screwed over!
Put my order in back in Dec 2007 and then receive an email from someone telling me to watch out because the site was fake. My credit card wasn’t charged until just this week and i also actually received the purse i bought. Open the box up and it’s the fakest fake of all fakes!!! Called my CC company and they refuded me. I still get emails from them but i know it’s a scam just to get more personal information from me. If it helps, the old site shut down but the new site is now called Principalfashion.com. Again just another fake site to get people’s personal information. I hope other people have better luck than me!
I also made a purchase from Style Runway and ofcourse it was fake, ship to me from somewhere in China. Can I dispute the transtaction with my credit card company?
I was also scammed by these people. I ordered a Miu Miu handbag from them in December and asked lots of questions before purchasing the bag. The bag did eventually arrive but is obviously fake.
They are absolute criminals and need to be reported.
Unfortunately I paid using a debit card rather than credit card so am unsure whether my bank will refund the money even though this is blatant fraud.
I orderd stuff from that site as well at x mas time, dec 4, and I never got my things, my sister and I both, and we got our money back from the back, BUT NOW they are using our credit cards to try to buy things!! SO I suggest you cancell your credit cards as well, they tried to get over two thousand worth of stuff from me and over one thousand from my sisters card!!
this site is a scam BIG time.
they’re back but under a different URL:
Principalfashion.com
STAY AWAY!!!!!
THEIR BACKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEW WEBSITE Principalfashion.com
I was about to purchase 500 dollars worth of stuff on this website. However, I just couldn’t hit the submit button because I knew deep down inside it was too good to be true. Do you guys know if they can track down ur card number if you didn’t press submit?
OMG, I was just checking to see if Style Runway was still in busines and happened to run across this site. I also was scamed by Style Runway. I ordered Ed Hardy Jeans and tennis, Dolce & Gabana jeans and a Ed Hardy T shirt. I did get the merchandise after 8 weeks and it came from China. The jeans were fake a extremely too small. The tennis did not fit and did not have the Ed Hardy logo and the t shirt logo state DO DR DIE instead of DO OR DIE. The packaging was damaged and some of the products looked as though they had been run over by a truck ( with the tire tracks). The worst part was, I received an alert from my credit card company stating someone was trying to charge a $3500 ticket on an Isreal Airline. We traced it back to Style Runway since it was the only company I had given my credit card number to. PLEASE PLEASE BEWARE of tese internet scams. I could only give the products away since i could not wear them and the sizes were not true. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD NUMBER. They will use it again for personal gain.
It seems like something is missing, no?
I just discovered prinicipalfashion.com today! I couldnt get over the prices.
I’ve used other discount designer websites in the past, and their usual mark down is 20%-45% off (styledrop.com, ) but when I saw that PF had Rolex watches for $9.99 I knew something had to be up. Thats like 98% off lol!
Hopefully no one else will fall prey!
thanks for your opinions i almost buy in this fraud store,im lucky i read this before.
i found principal fashion.com & found reall cute ed hardy sweat pants, they are black. if any of you know where i can find them for reall, please tell me (:
HOLY SHITT! I wish i would have read these reviews before I ordered. Got Dammit!! I just ordered alot of crap from principalfashion.com. Damnn, I knew this shitt was waaayyy too good to be true. I should’ve fuckingg listened to my instinct.
Got dammit! I gotta start doing my research. Fuckk now i gotta call my bank, and tell them wat happened, hopefully they haven’t took the money off yet.
These ole dirty asss scam artist probably got some chinese kids working in a dirty ass sweat shop, for 1 buck a month, while they rip off people for 353.63 every day.
