This was a tragic unfortunate situation for that Tiger.
There is NO question as to the reason the Tiger did in
fact escape, kill one & injure two more. This Tiger was
definetly bothered by these stupid individuals that got
what they deserved. It was 19 minutes until the first
Police officers arrived (response time could've been
faster!), when they arrived they found the Tiger stand-
ing over one of it's victims. The Cops distracted the
Tiger away from the victim BUT towards them! The Tiger
was only doing what Tiger's do and that is protecting
itself by means of deadly force. When this Tiger started
to advance on the Cops they had no choice but to shoot
this Tiger and kill it. There was no time to go out and
get a tranquilizer gun, the Tiger had just finished off
the first group of people that were bothering it and
probably figured that this second group (The cops) were
out to do the same. So there is no doubt in my mind that
if these Cops hadn't shot the Tiger they too would've
been victims to this tragic incident. One must also see
that it had just turned dark at this time and that there
was no solid knowledge if there were any other big cat's
out there on the loose. The Cop's reacted just like any
trained Cop would, meet force with force, or put down an
immediate threat (The Tiger).
