I don’t know why Kucinich never announced he wasn’t campaigning in Iowa. He hasn’t had a headquarters (i.e., with a listed phone number) or serious organization here, and he lags far behind six others in Iowa visits. It seems he didn’t want to be excluded from Iowa-based media events, but that happened in some cases anyway. Then the campaign–um–answers, “But it’s a nationwide campaign.” (Won’t catch me saying the W-word!) Judge his New Hampshire perfrmance, not Iowa. When he scores zero in the Jan. 3 Iowa Caucus, it won’t count.

Thank you for having the courage to stand against the old mindsets that Simon Barret represents.

Thank you for doing you home work (your duty) on the 2008 candidates.

Thank you to Charles for his fair view point on the unethical and insulting media handling of DK’s campaign. (Charles, Edwards wants to allow continued contamination of our planet with his carbon credit system)

Thank you for the overwhelming and heartfelt defense of DK against the childish ranting and ‘whining’ by said author.

Thank you for not succumbing to the same depths that the whining comes from.

Thank you for voting with your conscience in the primaries. If you vote for him, he will win. (Considering we are still a democracy).

Simon, we are on to you. We know that Gannet Broadcasting and Lockheed Martin are in bed together, that they share board members. We know that the other candidates are bought and payed. We know that don’t care about what happens to America, so long as it benefits them personally. We cannot be fooled by your childish attacks. And we are busy educating the rest of our brothers and sisters, those that you and yours have fleeced for too long. Simon, take a long look in the mirror. Talk to a therapist. Seek out that childhood woe that has taken you off course. You once were a bold and clean human being, when you were born, but something happened to you along the way. Confront that know, and remember what it is to be human.

Simon is representative of a media that dsires to get ordinary people to think the only reasonable “choices” they have in a democratic election process is to consent to those limited choices that corporate America is willing to promote and finance. If everyone who truly desired to vote for Dennis Kucinich actually did– he just might win and this would upset the pundits and corporate america no end. The ideas Dennis promotes will eventually become mainstream, for the simple reason that global economic forces, that the “experts” think he is ignoring, are actually putting his MAIN IDEA of an efficient peacetime economy as the Ultimate lesson of Bush’s global deficit financing of endless war with no gains.

I think it is admirable that Kucinich spends time in Congress while others are missing important votes while campaigning. Why is this to be looked down upon?

Simon, your arguments are shallow and baseless. I see no whining from Kucinich, only stating the facts. He was excluded from the AARP forum. Is it whining to disagree with that decision?

I’m not voting for Kucinich, but I think he is right to be “whining” about being excluded. A lot of polls show him doing better than Chris Dodd, and Dodd is always included. Support for Alan Keyes is negligible and yet he was included in the Republican debate. Why shouldn’t Kucinich get equal treatment? It’s a democracy and people deserve to hear what he has to say. I feel the same way about candidates on the Right of the political spectrum. I’m glad that Keyes was included. I appreciated hearing what he had to say, even though I didn’t agree with most of it. Kucinich should have the same opportunities as everyone else.

Oh… and, finally, since everybody else plugs their candidate… JOHN EDWARDS FOR PRESIDENT IN 2008!

I agree with Anna R - it is (Simple) Simon who is doing the whining. His brain is indeed, so simple, he feels he must disparage Democratic Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich - a man of great intelligence, integrity, great spirit and heart, not to mention the courage to speak the truth and do what is right even when it is not the popular position. Simple Simon met a pieman and he has pie all over his face.

I will not be voting for anyone else BUT Dennis Kucinich in the upcoming elections. It is clear he is the only candidate running that can give We the People our Constitution back, our Bill or Rights back, or Democratic process back; in other words give our country back.

I think it is Simon who is whining. I’ve been following the Kucinich campaign and I don’t see whining. This guy has no corporate funding, no defense funding, only contributions from his supporters. He’s not whining, hes bragging. He actually has a large following and no corporate or defense money interests. Thats a miracle.

This article dissociates Dennis Kucinich from his supporters. We are a substanial number of Americans who agree with Kucinich’s positions and we expect that, in America, our candidate and our voices will be heard. It is not Dennis who is whining, it is we who are wailing in sorrow and frustration that the person who articulates our vision for America is silenced and ridiculed. And thus, we are silenced and ridiculed. But I would still rather be a Kucinich supporter than the writer of this article.

People like Simon couldn’t get a clue even if you placed it neatly in the palm of their hands. What Simon fails to realize is that his corporatist favorites couldn’t survive without the mainstream media shoving them done the throats of the gullible, mindless masses who would rather watch “reality” shows than do their homework on who is the best candidate. His little favorites also could not survive without the millions of dollars given to them by the HMO’s, defense industry contractors, and wall street. So, we are left with two choices in reality, listen to Simon and get more of the same Tyranny that’s destroying our nation, or, be brave, do our homework, and actually vote for a candidate that will bring about sorely needed, and way overdue change.

How sad that you can only try to humilate such a qualified, honest, courageous candidate! Especially at this particular time when he has lost his brother.

The reality is that the media and the bloggers haven’t got a clue about what’s important to the country, and certainly not what is in the hearts of most Americans.

It still amazes me how much people attack Dennis for his views. Dennis is the only candidate in the crowded field that supports Universal, Single Payer Healthcare. He is also the only one that has voted against the war in Iraq and all of its funding. Yet when he is shut out and he responds to such disgraceful acts he is portrayed as whining. Shame on yet another useless blog that fails to inform.
