		<description>This type of "America is cheap" ignores the much larger amounts that private Americans send for aid: From immigrants sending back part of their paychecks to the Gate's millions combatting TB and Malaria.

And, of course, the fact that the US is doing much of the policing of the world helps. I mean, how many Norwegian ships are off the coast of Somalia preventing pirates from hijacking aid being sent to Africa via the Suez canal?</description>
