Unready, unwilling and unable to ban the openly violent neo-Nazi NPD, the German government has now decided to declare the Church of Scientology unconstitutional so it can later not ban those wackos, either.
Using the same highly unsuccessful techniques that allowed Germany’s highly high court to deny the banning of the NPD back in 2003, the German government has given its security services a year’s time to gather enough evidence to enable them to not enable them to outlaw the so-called “churchâ€. Germany hopes with this to become the first western country to fail loudly and miserably at having tried to shut Scientology down.
Authorities here are convinced that, being German, they can much better recognize what the suppression of individuality, the brainwashing of vulnerable minds and plots to take over the world really and truly look like while the rest of you complacent fools just sit there passively on your cushy sofas watching television or maybe blogging as these sinister Scientological alien body-snatching fiends prepare their final assault upon humanity, or what is left of it.
“Well we have to not ban something,†said one worried official. “I don’t want to have to tell my Scientologist grandchildren that I did not did not do everything in my power not to not stop them from taking power, now do I not?â€

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a Trackbackat least the NPD is open about its intentions; please remember that Scientology, inc. was convicted of the largest infiltration of US government offices in US history [see Operation Snow White] after the FBI raids of 1979.
Lying is a sacrament in Scientology. It isn’t about religion, it’s about abuse of people and the law. There are written policies that dictate harassment of individuals and organizations who would speak out against the abuses.
And Germany would not be the first. England, France, Australia, Greece, and more recently Belgium have all tried to deal with the problems posed by Scientology, Inc. It is unfortunate that the US Department of State willingly goes to Scientology, Inc’s defense in the world arena. Especially after that Operation Snow White thingie. Just ask the folks of Clearwater, Florida how much Scientology has improved their community.
The article is amusing and well written. Razad, by all means DO ask the Clearwater folks what they think of the Church. It has invested millions with millions more in the pipeline in downtown Clearwater. These German ministers are making statements completely out of synch with the German Constitution.
It’s a problem for people to understand the lengths scientology has gone to in silencing of it’s critics and attempting to collect intelligence. It uses effective methods of though reform on it’s members. If people understood these points fully they would have no problem with the organisation being banned or it’s activities being heavily monitored and restricted. Scientology’s purpose is to make money through the propagation of scientology. It is an organisation that is clandestine and is a direct threat to freedom of speech and freedom of thought. The residents of clearwater had no choice in their town being over run by scientologists. Would you like where you live to be like Clearwater?
Would I like where I live to be like Clearwater? If the crime rate is low, if the streets are clean, if people can safely walk anywhere, then yes. I believe you will find a similar situation in Salt Lake City, too.
