How many times have you heard this from your leftist friends when speaking about the barbarism of radical Islam?
“Oh yeah, what about the Inquisition? What about the Ku Klux Klan. What about Timothy McVeigh? What about radical Christians who blow up abortion clinics? Huh? What about them? Huh?”
So how do you respond to such moral equivalency pap as that? Respond with this.
More people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined. ( source)
More civilians were killed by Muslim extremists in two hours on September 11th than in the 36 years of sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland. (source)
Islamic terrorists murder more people every day than the Ku Klux Klan has in the last 50 years. (source)
19 Muslim hijackers killed more innocents in two hours on September 11th than the number of American criminals executed in the last 65 years. (source)
And one last thing. All those “What about’s” the leftist spout should realize that those monsters described above where dealt with as OUR civilization evolved. Can’t say that about Islam – still stuck in the 9th century and still killing and murdering around the globe.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackYes, it’s true, bad is bad. And no amount of “well what about this, what about that and we were that bad once” gives any amount of justification for atrocities. And yet I don’t think the point is to justify evil deeds, I think the point is why are you targeting one group, nation, religion, people as the subject of your hate mongering? There are selfish, fearful, hate spewing, members of the right. And there are well informed, thought provoking, considerate members of the right. Just as not all Muslims are terrorist, teacher lynching, extremists.
Is it a need to objectify something, your not as bad as, or a latent desire to hate something other than yourself?
I’m not saying radical thought focused into hate and murder is a good thing, far from it. I’m saying spawning radical focused hate as a counter balance to radical focused hate is ridiculous.
As a midground Independent, no doubt wishy washy and gutless by your litany of the far Reich, I mean right, I take deep offense to your inability to understand anything outside of your philosophy. And your constant use of “liberal” as a euphemism for “One of those pinko lefty, hippy, gays” This is unfortunately what has come about from years of a nationalistic “Gestapo” style patriotic movement. Please read some Thomas Hobbes, Thomas Jefferson, or at least, please read.
