Authorities Continue Their Investigation into Blog
Blog Still Going Strong
Who is the Author?
It’s still chugging along, the vile little blog that could, “Megan Had It Coming.”
It’s been 48 hours since the news article reported that the St. Charles Prosecutor, Jack Banas, had begun an investigation into who was running the twisted little website. The comment section is still rolling along, over 2351, and still growing.
Curt Drew issued a denial that it wasn’t him nor anyone in his family, which includes the infamous Lori Drew, the current Queen of Internet Hoaxers. The Drew’s attorney, Jim Briscoe couldn’t be reached for a comment. Megan Meier’s mother welcomed the investigation.
Was it really Lori Drew, as the poster claimed in the last thread, “I’m Lori Drew?”
To believe it was Lori Drew was to believe that this person was capable of extremely cruelty. The poster wrote a long diatribe, part blame the victim, Megan, part blame Megan’s parents, part blame the cops and schools for allowing Megan the “monster bully” to roam the neighborhood streets and back alleys of MySpace. And none of the blame for Lori Drew.
If this is/was a fake, an imposter, a Lori Drew impersonator, they took a stand and stuck to it. Never deviated from their story, stayed on point. Tried to paint a picture of Lori Drew as the victim. The one whom the cops, the schools nor Megan’s parents would help in the matter of the horrible little Megan. So fake or real Lori Drew did what she had to do. She set up the MySpace to teach Megan a lesson, to give Megan a dose of her own medicine.
Megan Had it Coming said…
Neither can I, but you get my point. If Megan had simply not chosen to kill herself, this would be a non-story. Another case of a bully getting what’s coming to him/her. That’s why I named this blog the way I did. My part was to teach a bully a lesson. Megan’s part was to kill herself for some unknown reason that I’m unfairly being blamed for. [1]
The person who wrote the diatribe was believable as someone who was angry over the “alleged” treatment of her daughter at the “monster” Megan’s hands.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI have been reading about this case for some time now, and after sifting through all the internet mob attacks on the Drew family and the Drews’ heartless retaliation, I can’t help but to say what everyone seems to be missing.
Cyberbullying is a very real issue that most people either ignore or make jokes about. Just about everyone has been the victim of a bully. The worst part of being bullied is the humiliation. If you have experienced this humiliation, think back to that experience. How many people witnessed your humiliation, 10? 20? 100? While we all know that a 16-year-old’s blog is hardly getting the massive number of hits that Perez Hilton or TMZ enjoys, the perception of the internet reaching millions, especially through the eyes of a 13-year-old girl, is very real.
Lori Drew did not put the belt around Megan’s neck, nor did she make her kill herself, but her actions were a contributing factor in this young girl’s death. Mrs. Drew played with fire without knowing she had a bucket of gasoline tied to her hip.
Since this isn’t a “prosecutable” “crime”…Megan’s family SHOULD and CAN destroy the Drew family financially. The suffering of a “self absorbed, “helicopter Mom” should equal the reality of the loss of a child by the Meier family.
Take the Drew’s house, take their car, take their privacy, strip them of their “dignity” (as if they ever had any)…follow them where ever they go for the next tens years…and treat them like ” a sex offender”…INFORM their NEW neighbors and friends WHO they are and what Laurie has done..
It’s too bad Megans family did not get her the help she needed to avoid this whole DRAMA! The mob scene here just shows people are overly bored with their own lives and are just finding things to whine about to pass the time of their useless exsistance. I am suprised these people are finding the time to leave all these blogs I mean seriously… Aren’t you missing an episode of “The Hills” or something? People get on with your lives! If you wanted to make a difference do something useful, petition for new laws in your area, volounteer at the Humane Society… SOMETHING! Good Lord, Let the Meiers and Drews battle it out… Hopefully BOTH of those family have GOD in their lives to get them through this disaster!
ya know, people are gonna be vengeful and hateful… its part of life. they didnt know it was going to cause a death.
Havent we all been vengeful? I know I have been vengeful toward people who have wronged me. if not for the death involved nobody would care.
The Drews were just unlucky enough to win the asshole lottery, and someone died due to a vengeful act. Its sad, but just a fluke. people are vengeful like that every day, but usually nobody dies so nobody cares.
Ron, the same could be done to the Meier family. They have completely destroyed the Drews name when they committed no crime. They could be taken to court over libel/slander. The fact remains that the Drews let their child Megan do risky behavior to a point that it killed her. They should have protected her and not just expect that someone else would be nice and not push her over the edge. I think they should be charged for child neglect.
Alot of people are making comments regarding this case and their information is incorrect. First of all this is a “prosecutable crime” and should be tried criminally as well as civilly. No amount of money will bring Megan back however sometimes people need to be woke up. For some it takes hitting them where it hurts them the most in their wallet.

its very hurtfull and depressing to have known that your daughthers life was lost to something so imature and stupid. i really still cant believe how the local authorities would post such a tittle about her story “megan had it coming” i mean honestly she did not diserve such a thing .yes friends do come and go .and that was something that wasnt suppose to involve karma for putting down a stop to a friendship. you simply go on with life and find new friends to associate with. you dont go finding revenge on a teenagers life .i mean c’mmon how immoral is that !…but after all god forgives everyone even those who have taken away the most precious thing god gives to us “life” and unfortuanlly megans life was shattered.
but above everything i hope god remains in both of the families hearts.may peace .love.and god be with you both .
