Teens in my era (50's-60's) dealt with it and moved on. Do you and others not see the responsilility of Megan's parents? Did she not only allow but encourage her depressed THIRTEEN YEAR OLD to carry on an internet relationship with someone she thought to be a 16 year old male? Could not the "phony" Josh have as easily been a 45 year old pedophile who, instead of a "bullying" remark, extended an invite to meet him at the mall and then what happens to Megan? We know the likely result. So where is the violation of TOS for Megan's mom, etc. Maybe inappropriate behavior on the part of Drew but hardly criminal. What was and is criminal is the bogus prosecution undertaken by an AUSDA in California. I am a middle school teacher and these kids are so unsecure as it is, They do not need the help of thoughtless and ignorant adults compounding the confusion they feel as their bodies are changing and they begin their adjustment of being children to becoming adults. Regardless of the purpose of the account she should have had the foresight to see that this was a terrible idea that could only end badly. This woman is a joke, and short of anything happening to her physically I think she deserves whatever poor treatment her community gives her. Wow! What is this world coming to? May I suggest that Lori Drew go on to make the next sequel to Two Girls and a Cup? Except it should be re-named "A Sicko and a Bucketfull".
