Hoaxer Claims Authorship of ‘Megan Had it Coming’ Blog
Is This One More Hoax?
MySpace Suicide Takes Another Twist
Let the speculation begin.
Parts have the ring of authenticity, others make one shake their head at the thinking process.
Neighbors, in numerous reports, have stated about the fact there has been no remorse from the family that hoaxed Megan Meier. Now, if this last blog post is true, it’s more evidence of that fact.
Was the notorious author “Kristen”, Lori Drew? Here’s the story.
The reader can decide.
It’s time I dropped the charade. Yes, I made this blog. Yes, I’m Lori Drew. [1]
(A very chilling note posted today on the “Megan Had It Coming” Blog. Read the rest of the post below, the author claims to be Lori Drew, the woman at the center of the Megan Meier story)
My daughter had nothing to do with this. Everyone needs to leave her alone. None of you can possibly know her involvement, and none of you can possibly know what she’s gone through. She’s just a kid. She doesn’t deserve these brutal verbal attacks. Please stop.
Now that Mr. Banas has made public the announcement that there will be no charges filed against me or my family, I feel it is time to speak out about this tragic affair. I cannot count on any media organization to fairly represent my story, as they have grossly misrepresented and sensationalized the story so far. So, I must present my case here, on the blog that has been my only outlet.
You don’t understand what the last two years have been like, living in this town, dealing with these people. When we came here, the Meiers seemed like a great family with whom we could form a friendship. Tina sold us our house and our little girls became fast friends. It was typical. Sleepovers and vacations and events in the community. The girls were inseparable.
We knew Megan and we liked having her around, at first. But as the months went on, we saw a change in our daughter. She was increasingly disturbed and defensive. We thought the effects of puberty were taking hold. But, we soon realized the negative influence was Megan. Megan had her bright and perky side, but she also had her dark side. We knew that she suffered from depression, so we tried to be supportive and patient. We talked to Ron and Tina about our concerns, but they would have none of it. Their precious Megan couldn’t be the problem — and they said we should feel bad for even suggesting it of a poor, mentally ill child.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI am beyond sick to think that Lori Drew has now admitted that she actually wrote the “meganhaditcoming” blog. She revealed herself only because the world began to believe that it might be her precious daughter and she wanted to let us all know the “facts”. This woman is crazy!!! Did she really expect a public outcry of support? Oh, my gosh, she is a narcistic phsychopath! You should read her letter to the public on the “meganhaditcoming” blog. All Lori Drew does is blame and try to manipulate. She may have fooled Megan, and fooled us all with her “meganhaditcoming” blog, but she can’t fool us now with her “truth”. Never mind prison, this woman should be in a Psyciatric ward!!!! She is a psychopath!
It’s pretty clear that Lori Drew has issues. Regardless of what she thought about her daughter’s friend, Lori Drew felt her own daughter could not be the culprit. I find it almost amusing that Lori Drew wants to protect her daughter now, which goes to show that she’s not very intelligent. She doesn’t seem to realize that she herself has made a world of hell for her own daughter. Not only has she poured a ton of negative limelight upon her family, she makes an attempt to justify her actions. Sounds to me like the father needs to pick his daughter up and leave Lori Drew for good. Lori Drew is not a good parential figure or human being.
Ms. Drew is a terrible person she should be allowed to walk the streets as a normal human being for what she did and her daughter also for that matter. How sare she publicly say she feels no remorse for what she did. Ms. Drew has a warped sense of thought, her and her daughter 100% responsible and further more I am puzzled that charhes will not filed against Ms. Drew. She derserves all of the hostility she get and more.
Megan Meier seems to have been so sensitive, that she would take her own life over an assumed internet “love interest”gone bad. I am not sure but there seems to me to have been something really pathological in Meier’s psyche, something so vulnerable and susceptible to have merited some special concern from her friends, associates and parents which never materialized.
There are thousands if not millions of these types of situations online every day, yet generally people logically assume that any ” personal profile” on the internet, any chat room and those who participate in them, might be totally different from the real facts, it just comes with the territory. Was this girl so far out of reality that she built up a prince charming in her own mind ,and invested so much emotional energy into this image that she was willing to take her own life?
I believe in this case that Ms. Drew was incredibly negligent and cruel and should be taken to civil court where she should lose everything she owns, or in the least pay the family of the victim for years. Maybe she should serve several months in jail to think about her infantile behavior, including a civil suit. However I am not quite sure this case belongs in criminal court because anyone online can pretend to be anyone, role playing is not illegal and there is no law that dictates that a citizen must be who they say they are.
I have seen people doing this sort of thing all the time on the internet to the point where I don’t take anyones word for it that they are who they say they are, or are even the gender they say they are. For any human to take their own life over a “internet relationship” which means it can’t be that intimate to start with, only means to me that the person suffers from emotional problems and should be seeing a psychologist in the first place.
Yes this Lori Drew is puerile and cruel, but she herself must be on the emotional level of a 10 year old. Does anyone find this case to be anomalous , that is this case is certainly not the normal reaction that would exist, in one out of a ten-thousands identical scenarios?

I know little about this case but I know quite a bit about depression. My dad,my maternal grandmother,my mother, myself and both of my children and a nephew suffer from it. IF this woman Lori knew that Megan had these problems then she knew the possible repercussions of her actions.
Parents should be aware of the things that go on in their children’s lives. BUT at the same time children need to be able to solve their own problems. The parents should be their with love, support and advice and monitor the situation so it does not get out of hand. That does NOT include taunting the other child. What was the argument between the girls about? Why did this Drew woman feel the need to confront Megan in such a manner? Going after a person in such a manner who already has issues is only going to make the situation worse.
Has anyone ever had a friend turn on them out of nowhere? It is a completely earth shattering experience especially in your teen years.
If their is no law to charge this woman under a new one should be brought forward to cover this type of situation. Not some wide ranging, vague wording that can be gotten around by a loophole.
This was a cruel thing..and dont say your daughter..didnt have nuttin in this..yes she did..she wrote the BLOG!!!!hello!!!
n plus that was a sick joke. You are going to be living w/ this for the rest of your life. You think its funny to just get crap out of someone by playing a joke.Ya’ll dont have lives.b/c you messd sum one’s lil gurls life up. You are now facing alot of memories you wont 4get.Dont keep saying its not your daughters fault. She wrote the blog.ya’ll all took party.Live with it all.Dont think bout doing this again.Ya’ll need to stop putting out that ya’ll are angels.Your daughter, is a bad person that set this up as well..Your a bad person for letting her.You are suppose to be the parent.not a person who instigates her to keep going. You should of been the one to stop her.You should of made punishments.but you didnt.you insisted in volunteering, her to do this.Live with this guilt.ALL of you who took part. Now you would see life isnt easy. Life is ONLY HOW YOU MAKE IT!!!.Dont do this to anyone else.Be upset w/ yourselves. You had no right in ruining a 13 yr old girl’s life.
if you had such a bad time with her.Ask her to her face.Call her up.But instead you ended up making her feel like SHIT..you made her feel so bad.Its your fault.live with it.And learn.
I believe it is the fault of hostess cupcakes, ring dings, and fruit pies. Lori Drew and her daughter have eaten way too many of said items and sat in front of the TV far too much. The only effort they can muster is to lean toward a keyboard and terrorize a neighbor. Lori Drew is just pathetic, helpless and WEIRD. I mean what kind of a grown-up lunatic gets involved in Jr. High stuff like she’s a Jr. High kid? She probably had 4-5 boxes of Chocodiles and lost her mind. But there is hope for her daughter. Run. Run far from mommy and refuse her hostess treat offerings. Love yourself young Drew and the rest will follow. Don’t listen to your evil weirdo mom.
megan meier was just a kid and did not deserve what was done thirteen yearolds are emotional anyway then add deppression to that and what you did to her and bad things happen you should not be allowed around children you are no better than casey anthony.
Lorin Drew,,, How about you burn in hell!!
