		<description>No, he is telling the truth.  Compared to how it is under Mugabe, most black Rhodesians really were contented.

We were sold a bill of goods by Mugabe and his socialist backers.  It was the death of Zimbabwe--socialism.  What a horrid reality!</description>

		<description>Whilst quite a lot of the above rings true, the statement below really does touch a nerve.

"Most black Rhodesians were contented, and a growing well-to-do African middle class, who were entitled to vote, was developing."

This really does sound like the opinion of someone whose only contact with the black population was through their workers and servants (who obviously tended to say what their employers wanted to hear).

To get a real feel of what the black population thought I refer you to the amazing novel : "Nervous Conditions" by Tsitsi Dangarembga</description>
