Sorry, Atheista:
. the sentence about conspiracy was accidentally cut out when I posted it.

The entire sentence is that the yearly Christian debunking stories that are run in newsmagazines and the press yearly at Christmas and Easter time is rarely noted to be a trend except on conspiracy sites.

Personally, I think it is ignorance by reporters, who follow trends and fashions and newsrooms that lack diversity.

As for the comment of atheism being in this year, I have read that comment somewhere, but couldn't find the reference. The article was referring to Dawkin's and Hitchen's books being best sellers.

It's an excellent article. Note what she says about the Dead Sea Scrolls: "The situation reminds me of the deadlock that held scholarship back on the Dead Sea Scrolls decades ago. When manuscripts are hoarded by a few, it results in errors and monopoly interpretations that are very hard to overturn even after they are proved wrong."

The consequences of the outrageous Scrolls monopoly are in fact still continuing today in a series of massive, biased and misleading museum exhibits traveling around the country. See this article for details:

Ever considered that maybe the ultimate reason for publishing such stories is the fact that debunking society's norms is news and not debunking them is not news? Why do you assume some conspiracy or alternative agenda? How do you get from a mis-translation of a gospel to insulting Atheists? Seek counseling please.
