I'm the same age as Megan when she committed suicide. I know the way she feels as I've almost been there too. Until you've been in the situation you have absolutely no idea! How can you be so horrible to Tina, even if she did have a drinking problem its got nothing to do with this, this is about another mother posing to be 'Josh Evans' online while a teenage girl is now dead! How can she sleep at night, how could she even live with herself? Can't believe theres nothing chargeable in Megan's case against Lori. I feel for the Meier's. I would one day actually even meet them! Rest in peace Megan.

You guys should probably read this article http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/...fa_fact_collins it goes into good detail about the whole story. I really don't understand where people get the assumptions that the parents didn't monitor their daughter on the internet, they did. The rule for her to go on myspace was that one of the parents had to be in the room with her. The day megan killed herself the mother had gone to the dentist with megan's sister and told her to get off the computer. She didn't and thats when the whole argument started online that lead to megan's eventual suicide. I obviously don't know exactly what happened but it seems to me a 49 year old is a little old to be teasing a 13 year old on the internet like that. Maybe I'm just a bleeding heart liberal though?

I love how Tina Meier blames other people for the fact that she was a lousy parent that never taught her daughter how to handle emotions, how to properly find love, and to have self respect. She should be blaming herself- if anyone for her daughter’s suicide.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I can't believe the things people do these days thinking that they harm no one.

That vicious website "JuicyCampus" was developed by a guy who went to an ivy league school. Out of all the things he could have contribed to this world he choose to do that. Greed, jealousy, and other evil emotions seems to drive people nowadays.

I hope you win this lawsuit, if not in criminal court, in civil court. Almost any parent knows teenagers are fragile, especially girls, in this extremely competive world we live in today.

Again I can't even imagine the pain you are living through and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Yours in parenthood,
Carol

All you bleeding heart liberals make me sick. Parents are responsible for their children in this reality show, mtv generation, myspace reality that is their children lives. A false life because ITS NOT REAL FOLKS. What happened is a tragedy because irresponsible parents allow their unsupervised "Go watch tv" kids to seek attention elsewhere.

Now the parents are victims, what a joke.

If you leave the gate open to a pig pen, whats going to happen? The pigs are going to get out!

Don't like it, tell me why....

Everyone needs to remember that lori drews was not megans mother. megans mother was a no good alcoholic who didnt know anything about her daughter. her daughter was SEVERELY depressed because of her mother not paying any attention to her what was going on in her life. her suicide was an attempt at attention and now even in megans death Tina still doesnt care about megan just that someone pays for it as long as it is not her.

oh my gosh people... actually I just heard about this today on the morning news and cannot get this off my mind. Why are you slamming the parents of Megan? They are not blaming others. They need justice. The mother who did this is unreal. I cannot imagine "playing" with a teenagers feelings and saying what she did. And if it wasnt her, then why was she not monitoring her child or whoever was writing to Megan. The point is... teenagers don't need added stress... this world is already to full of stress and b.s. Playing with someone's feelings is not right. How the Drew family can't live with themselve every day is beyond me.

I hope Megan's parents/family find justice ... nothing will ever be able to replace Megan... this is just too cruel.

I have been searching the web all morning - can't get Megan and her family off my mind. A cruel world - people need to stop.

I understand the Mom's anger but she knows deep down she and her husband made some mistakes, especially letting someone so young get so involved in a online relationship. That had white flags all over it. I feel so bad for them but blaming others compeletely is just helping them cope with the anger temporarily.

Why wasn't the Mom monitoring her daughter better and why isn't she taking some of the blame, she admitted fighting with her daughter just before the suicide. The truth is nobody but her daughter can really be responsible, she had to have shown signs of depression before this. I understand the blame game, but sh knows it is more complicated than just the hoax.

Kim I guess you haven't seen all of the interview's that Tina Meier has given which show her extreme pain about the loss of Megan. I am not sure how you can't see that in her face? And as far as not understanding why someone would commit suicide over someone they never knew - this girl spoke to this Josh for approx. 5 weeks and then all of a sudden he turned on her and other kids jumped in and she felt like everyone was against her. She was a teenager who suffered from depression and suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among teens in America!

Why doesn't Tina Meier look sympathetic at all about the loss of her daughter and why would someone commit suicide over someone they never knew in person???

I hope you will explore all legal options and NOT let this lady live in peace
who did this to Megan. I think you should talk to Dr. Phil. Judge Judy, Gloria Allred, Montel, Oprah, and do not let this DIE! I would hound anyone and everyone that will listen, I would be relentless in my efforts. I wish this lady and her family and friends the very worst possible things in life that they can get, I hope someone puts a curse on them. I wish them the worst that played this malacious trick on Megan . I would NOT, I mean I would NOT let up till I got justice for Megan. I hope that family that did this to Megan burns in you know where. God Bless Megan and her family and friends that truly love and care about her. I wish Very Bad the worst Luck to those who were mean, and tricked Megan.

Why haven't you filed a Civil wrongful death suit yet? I don't know of a single attorney who wouldn't jump at the chance to sue this couple. I would hire Goria Allred.
