To NewWarriorMan: I believe your response is VERY biased, and appears to me as smacking of untruths that may stem from unresolved conflict and displaced anger, as well as bitterness. You appear to be a disgruntled previous volunteer, who may have experienced unwanted attention, and chooses NOT to let go and move on. I encourage you to deal with your issues, your shadow. If you would like to do some carpet work and process your thoughts, emotions, and facts, I’d be more than happy to help you out; as I’m sure other men would as well.

MKP is merely a catalyst for men to learn what kind of man they think they were created to be. A safe environment to embrace the good, bad and ugly of themself, and how they can accept what they find. To be more conscience of themselves, others and the world around them. Which leads to the freedom to choose to remain the same, or desire to change what they can, accept what they cannot change, and more importantly to know the difference. There is much solice in knowing we are not alone in working out our identity as a man. We are part of a brotherhood of MANY men trying to do the very same thing.

I encourage EVERY man, young (of legal age, 18) and old (100) to consider attending a NWTA weekend.

As for your whole comment that men as encouraged to proclaim themselves as Homosexual, that is a resounding Falsehood. Many Men do Identify as a Gay Man, some Identify as Bi-Sexual, Some as Hetrosexual with same sex attraction and some as Hertoflexible.

As for it being a Liberal Organization. Well it would kind of have to be. See as a Conservative myself the things that I partisipated in that weekend while not the socital norm were not Moral Dilema’s either. I am sure those who came up with this in 1984 when the FIRST NWTA was had were mostly Liberal Men who wanted it to be OKAY to be men and not be forced into a restrictive box. They were accepting of Homosexuality because although they were GAY MEN they were STILL MEN.

Food Depravation, Sleep Depravation, Agressive Hazing? Okay Food is ADEQUATE! Sleep is ADEQUATE. this does not mean that you get to sleep till noon, there is far to many things to do in a simple weekend to deal with everyone getting up whenever they feel. Food is ADEQUATE you are fed multiple times a day with food that is HIGH ENERGY FOOD. If you don’t LIKE IT that is a problem but it is edible and if you have alegeries or any required medical needs to different food YOU ARE 100% ACCOMODATED!!!!!!! If you are Hungry or feeling strange anyone of the Safety Staff will take you out and YES YOU WILL GET FOOD. You just have to speak up for yourself.

As for Intimidation…… Are you sure that you have the right program? I ask this because of the 18 that were initated in my camp there were nearly 60 staff, all of which and I MEAN ALL OF WHICH were loving compassionate people who told you offten how amazing you were doing and how proud of you they were. Men I had never met drawn to me to THANK ME for being there. There were 3 Initiates who did not really want to be there, they had problems with the social rituals and they opted out for MUCH of the processing. They were always invited to jump in if they like but they were not judged of coddled or coersed to join.

As for the Sweat well I think that “MARY” is making up a story. “Mary” could not be at the weekend. Notice that “MARY” is telling the story she was told, or possible the relationship ended as a direct result of the weekend and “MARY” is angry and blames MKP for taking her lap dog away from her. MKP and The NWTA awaken a Man’s right to BE A MAN and BE ACCOUNTABLE and RESPONSIBLE for his actions and most of all that it is OKAY to feel, ANYTHING. So when “Bob” comes home and “Mary” is expecting him to finally be done with this “Man’s Man” thing and he is now more Empowered and “Bob” tells “Mary” he isn’t going to let her Treat him that way anymore and “Mary” rather than taking accountability blames MKP.

So lets get to Brass Tacks here. I’m very new and was very liberated by the NWTA, so I got that against me, I’ll give you that. it’s like a kid defending his older brother and may not understand what his older brother is actually being accused of. However I want to address the following things that were addressed in the above article.

Why is Men Crying Bad?

Why is a Man’s nude Body something to be ashmed of?

Why is Ritual of anykind that isn’t religion based Bad?

Symbolically Men, Women, and Children EAT THE FLESH OF CHRIST and DRINK HIS BLOOD EVERY SUNDAY, But Banging on a Drum is Weird?

Men around the world are spending more time on X-Box and Playstation then they are with thier children who are 5 and 6 years old. ManChildren are RAISING Children in believing this is the way a GROWN MAN SHOULD ACT.

Where are the Manners anymore? Children are no longer in Awe of thier Parents and this is a Shame. And so when a Group of Men who UNDERSTAND other MEN get together and try to show them that they are NOT Unique. They are NOT alone. It is Bashed and suggested to be left to a Professional.

Let me make this VERY CLEAR a Professional wanted me to take Drugs. I am a Recovering Addict. NWTA wanted me to Talk and be HONEST. Who is the one with questionable intentions? By the way the Drug the Doctor wanted me to take he got a $2.00 kickback for every prescription he wrote for it.

FACT 98% of all NWTA Staff are VOLUNTEERS who PAY to go and WORK for a weekend.

I was recently the editor for the ManKind Project (MKP) for five years and I saw the organization from the inside out. I know where the skeletons are buried.

MKP encourages men who are struggling with their sexual identity to proclaim themselves as homosexual. There is no discussion, no opportunity for choice, they are simply told, “YOU ARE GAY - accept it.”

MKP is a left-wing liberal organization that discriminates against Christians, political conservatives, and tends to be anti-American.

MKP’s New Warrior Training Adventure pressures men into doing things they wouldn’t normally do through sleep deprivation, food deprivation, and aggressive hazing. The staff outnumbers the initiates by about 2 to 1. It’s very intimidating and very difficult to say, “no.”

As a man who has staffed 19 times, I can tell you I have been approached a number of times by men on staff for sexual favors.

This organization was once a great idea, it is now nothing more than a sales team trying to recruit new men for the money to pay an executive director than has already received closed to $1,000,000.
