I have a disabled adult in the home who gets food stamps and it helps him out a huge amount. In many years of him getting food stamps I only saw one case in which a person tried to sell their food stamps to me. I guess they needed the money more than food. Looking into the future, I wonder if something setup like Kiva for food help would work in the United States. Maybe you could post a family that needs temporary help with food support. People could log onto the site and donate money to a family in need. This site could be targeted to areas with the most need in the United States. This would be more of a donation site and the people could post comments on how the support you gave them helped them out. This

I must be food insecure because I keep forgetting to bring milk home for my kids to have cereal. Wow, I'm a statistic!
