Just awful. How could someone let alone a mother do that? And to make things more intresting what if this *josh evens* was actually real and didn’t live in o’falon like the thing says? Kids make things up all the time. Say that the real Josh evans lived somewere else somewere far away like in Niagarafalls and she new her mother wouldn’t let her talk to him because she didn’t know him. She couldve made up his background history so she would be aloud to talk to him. And when megan told her friends about him, her ex friend found out and got her mother to make the acount and spread the rumors about her. If thats the case, then the real Josh who befriended her my be woundering why she’s not online anymore.

Yeah that’s right my name is josh evens exept my real life is slightly difere t from the ” josh Evans” in this storie. At first I thought that meghan was one of my friends but on msn not myspace ” cause I still don’t have an acount” the reason why I thought it was meghan was because I had a friend named meghan on msn and I remembered that she had said that her mother had to take her sister to karate and that later on that night she had asked me why I was spreading all those rumers about her on myspace and I said ” first of all I don’ t have a myspace account and secondly I don’ t live near u to even know ur friends so how could I possibly say those things about u? I havnt heard from
her since but I think it was a diffent person than meghan meier although that would be one hell of a coincedence even though this happened on myspce and as I said I don’t have an account but wouldn’t that be something that it turns out that it was her ? Holy crap!!!

I don’t believe there is any benefit in taking sides or trying to make a right or a wrong from this event. Myspace isn’t to blame…it is how it is used. It’s like blaming the planet because the poepl who use it abuse it????

This is the nature of our problem in society for a start….eveyone’s trying to work out who is right ad who is wrong…..whose to blame…well you are and I am to blame.

It all starts with me and you. For starters, first identify what role we play in this game today…(yes we may switch sides from time to time if it suits us). Are we the person who picks someone up when they are fallen or are we the type who see’s an advantage and kicks when someone is down.

Who will you be today? It’s a simple question, you decide the answer and your actions will measure your decision.

Secondly, how do we play the judgement game? Do we use our harsh judgements of others just so that we can justify the way we treat others? Hmmm, interesting isn’t it.

Fortunatley amidst this game there also exists another, a game of truth. It’s about finding the truth of who we are and why we are here. Are we here to add to the misery or to turn it around? We decide, every waking day, how we conduct ourselves. Are we part of the solution or part of the problem?

Our gifts are many. Our very ability to identify a persons weaknesses and strengths is an actual gift that we rarely use for anyone’s greater good than our own. Megan is a victim of this game, that we are all playing together.

Allow the possibility that if we all used our gift of intuition for others feelings to spread words of kindness and understanding, not to find angles to bring someone down and leave ourselves standing, the world could change on that one day!

If we dropped our grudges right now against everyone we held them against, we would feel the change in our very midst.

Megan’s passing is part of an awakening to what is happening on our planet. It symbolises the cruelty, the apathy, the judgements, the lack of understanding for others that plagues our planet…but it also signals hope for change, well it signals that for me. It changed me today and remembering her passing will only serve to remind me to be sensitive to others.

The only person that hurt anyone was Megan. Megan didn’t see through a very poorly veiled ruse and killed herself and ruined her parent’s marriage. She was stupid. Tina Meier is a MILF, though.

okay to be honest megan isnt the only one who had this problem. i feel deep in love with this guy named “kacey” and soon to come find out he was fake my ex best friend created him. before we ever met then we became close and then she admitted she made him up. i fell deep in love with him. i was 14 at the time. and after a month i had serious deppression and i would cutt myself all the time of what happend. then i Tryed to kill myself by over doseing it worked until my parents found me and rushed me to the hospital. every day i wish they left me there but then i relize there is more to life nad i see every day diffrent. but it still haunts me badly i regret even talking to him/her but i cant change the past only the future!! please be careful with myspace dont do the same mistake i did

This whole thing is just rediculous first of all both parents are the ones to blame Megans because if the mom knew her daughter suffered from depression she should have done more knowing her daughter was upset in her room she should have been there watching her, that was her job as a compitant mom. Lori needs to grow up and be an adult not a child her actions are just stupid she should have not allowed them to make a fake myspace knowing what it was for. As for all the neighbors they need to grow up and find some maturity it is not high school people it is life you are adults act like it. Being a**holes will not change anything, it won’t make things better it will just make things worse. I honestly feel sorry for the young girl who started the page cause imagine what she is going through right now, yes I understand Megan is gone and that is a shame and it should not have happened but this child is still here and she has to live with what happened for the rest of her life she don’t need someone rubbing her nose in it everyday and making her life unberable. People need to remember what they were taught when they were young about manners and respect this community does not seem to know what it is and has no heart or concern for anyone but themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have children of my own and sometimes children can be cruel.However I allow my children to work it out in meaningful ways.I think what women has done is completely wrong.Behaving like a child herself.If you ask me she should not have kids if this is the way she is going to raise them.Maybe she should have D.F.S called on her.

[If I, as a 30 something year old male, would have been pretending to be a 14 year old boy and chatting up a 13 year old girl my a$$ would be sitting in a jail cell instead of posting on on this blog. Why the hell ain’t she in jail for that? Just because she is a female doesn’t mean she gets a walk, as I do believe the laws are gender neutral with regard to crimes like this….
It is a crime for an adult to have sexual/intimate conversation with a minor… but apparently that only applies to MALE Adults.

alright, alright…whoever you people are, stop fighting over religion! This article isn’t “The athiest Vs. Christianity smack down” A young girl was killed. I know that the Drew’s and anyone who helped them will be punished. I believe this wholeheartedly. Maybe our government will be able to do something. If not there are many other ways. I know that these people going to be hated wherever they go for now on. That, and their own guilt will be heaps of punishment. I think they deserve much more than that. These PARENTS actually started this and encouraged their own children to help. They megan’s loved ones and society. Because those kids that they raised are going out into the world and act the way that they taught them. That is, if they go out at all. I wouldn’t want to.

I too, am a “crazy Christian”, but she did miss the point. The person that typed to this girl was a CRIMINAL. What she did was CRIMINAl. There has to be something they can do to her. She should not get off scott free. My Brother killed himself over a wife that had FIFTEEN letters that gave her every indication that he would commit suicide and she did NOTHING. He “protected” us and gave us no clue he was feeling so bad. The one person that had all the clues, was the one person that didn’t care. People like this should be held responsible. On Christmas my Brother’s wife said (out loud) “when are you doing to die so I can have your 401K?” and he barely lived past the 4th of July. We were left grief stricken and devasted. Our lives will never be the same.
Megan was a KID. This to me warrants proscecution!!!

How can an adult pose as a child on the internet in order to flirt with another child and not be consider a child predator? Is it because it was a female that conducted this sadistic “hoax”? That makes it okay?

The family that did this needs to be held accountable by the law and if the law can not hold them accountable, then society must.

Children can be cruel, but for an adult to pick on and harass a little kid — literally to death — is f’ing criminal.

This story is so upsetting and heartbreaking. I was astonished that an mother was behind it. I was also astonished to learn it took a year for this to become known. I watched a recent interview about it and the prosecuter is saying he has not reviewed the case. A year and it has not been reviewed? Why is it that now after the responses over the internet he is reviewing the evidence? It makes me think they will not be looking at it to find a way to prosecute but to make sure they have covered their behinds. I hope everyone takes the time to write and forces them to find some charge. The community should shun this mother. She should be removed from the Chamber of Commerce and whatever else she might be a member of. It is too late for her to redeem herself. She showed absolutly no regard for this poor child’s mental health. And the message she sent saying the world would be a better place without her. What did she think would be the outcome? She had to think a teen with emotional problems, on medication, and low self esteem would not react the way an adult might. What kind of world do we live in where people can be so mean and cold? Maybe 2 wrongs do not make a right but in this case I hope she is banished from her community and ridiculed. I hope she gets a taste of what she put this poor inncent child through. The nerve of this towns prosecuter, to prosecute the parents for destroying a table but not this disgusting excuse for a mother when she has basically murdered a 13 year old girl. How can this be? I don’t understand it!!

I think what Lima is saying is to pray for “Josh” as well. We know he didn’t exist, but the person pretending to be “Josh”, did exist. Therefore, that person needs prayer. And for your quote that I copied above, The Bible IS the only Way, the Truth and the Life. If anything, we all need to study God’s Word. God is very much alive and prayer is very powerful in the Name of Jesus!
Remember, God loves the sinner, not the sin. Because we’re human, we want to beat the heck out of “Josh” for what happened to Megan. Totally understandable. All Lima is saying, is that we need to pray not only for Megan’s family, but also for the twisted family who caused this pain and grief. God’s Love is unconditional. Let’s love as God loves us. Unfortunate tragedy for a 14 year-old girl to lose her life over someone who thought it ‘hilarious’ to play with peoples feelings, let alone this impressionable little girl. It is very sad but you know what, the Lord did warn us of the persecution and just plain and simple hate in this world from people who do not know HIM. My prayers for the family of Meagan, as well as the family of this young man Josh, who probably didn’t think that it would end up this way.
