He said things he shouldn’t have, in a heated moment. But who hasn’t? It was a private conversation. Shame on Dog’s son for releasing that tape. Dog has done a lot of good. Should we forget that he took a terrible rapist off of the streets? Should we forget he tries to help all of the troubled souls that he and his family come into contact with? I wish there was a way to take Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson off the air. They’re the ones who are causing all of this racism. Look, this is a non-perfect world. Name calling has gone on for centuries and will go on for centuries. What about all the other races that are called names (in the heat of anger)? The Black race uses the “n” word in music and in comedy. That’s okay though. What gives here? Sometimes I think Sharpton and Jackson would like to be Martin Luther King! Imus made his racial slurs while on the air but he’s coming back. Dog was having a private conversation with his son which was no one’s business. He just had a nasty kid that sold him out. Obviously, A&E doesn’t mind losing viewers (lost me…that’s for sure) and all the sponsors are losing money. A&E had a number one show with the “Dog” (the only thing really worth watching on that channel to begin with) and they took it away from the public and THE PUBLIC WANTS THE DOG BACK.

Dog Chapman saves people from themselves and others, a man like his should be rewarded not punished- for any reason. I love his show and so does my boyfriend, we love to record his show to watch while we eat dinner. I have seven episodes saved on my DVR untill I can buy the DVDs. Despite his wardrobe I find his appearance on the televison a comfort. A man like him means a lot to the people in my house, or to anyone who’s ever been attacked. It’s nice to know there are men like him working to catch other men like Andrew Luster. It’s even better when you can see it happen, not just hear about it.

The first time I saw Dog on tv, I was living with my parents, and about to start a Court Drug Program offered in Texas, A HARD PROGRAM, but the reward was to keep a felony possession off of my record and that was my only concern, staying out of jail. After Dogs show, I saw a Dog and his family give people compassion, treat them with dignity, and give them hope. I saw that you can turn your life into something positive, and I entered Drug Court with a different outlook, I didnt want to just stay out of jail, I wanted to become a productive member of society; and I did just that. Just like my counselors, the judges in my program, Dog helps people on a much larger scale than most people can do, DONT cancel the show, but more importantly, dont take the hope and help away from the people, its not just a show, Dog and his family help the people you see and I am sure someone getting arrested dont want to see Dog coming; but ask them later when their life has changed for the better and I am sure that they can say the Dog arresting them was the worst wrapped present they ever got. It seemed bad to get arrested-but look what they got back—LIFE.

None of us live in glass houses so none of us can cast the first stone.
Which one of us have never verbalized or thought of a racial slur, which one of us never heard or told a racial joke, which one of us is perfect? The answer is none of us. We are just not under constant eye the press which is just waiting for us to screw up. This conversation was a private conversation between a son and his father. God forbid some of the things we say in our own private homes be made public. Why is a private conversation between father and son be made public yet drug deals are made on cell phones and public phones every single day,, and they go undiscovered, unpublished and oh yea PRIVATE.
There are real criminals walking our streets, breaking in our homes, taking our belongings, killing our children, raping our daughters, robbing us at gunpoint for our cars, abusing drugs and our emergency medical facilities, selling drugs to our children and getting them hooked to the point that they cant even function, shooting our our sons, daughters, spouses, etc. Thank God he has a gift to hunt these people down and arrest them. Yea I know he bonds them out of jail too, and NO I do not agree with that. But he does try to make a difference in their lives, but ultimately the choice is theirs and if they choose to remain criminals then, do your thing Dog, Beth, Tim and Leland. Shouldn’t we allow a man to speak to his son any way he pleases in a private telephone conversation. He should not apologize to anyone for his own business that does not concern anyone but his own son. He owes no one an apology. I know a lot of people that use words when angry and they are not racist, biased, or anything else. This stunt was just to sell magazines. We want Dog back now. BRING BACK OUR REGULATORS!!!!!!! Just because a man makes an ignorant comment in the privacy of his own home, on his private phone line does not justify cancelling his show. The tapes were recorded illegally (ahmmmmm, monica lewinsky case anyone?) and used for nothing more than to make some mooh-lah. As too Tucker, how can you sell out your dad? The man who gave you life, a job and pays your rent? You should be ashamed and apparently NOT a christain because thou shalt honor thy mother and FATHER. The father that took that nasty molesten’ creep off the street to protect ladies everywhere. The father who takes in criminals in your own state to make it safe for you and your girlfreind and everyone else can live in peace. But you turn him in to a rag mag for a lousy 15,000? Congrats turncoat, congrats!

I think A & E should put them back on the air. His son is the type he arrests. A meth user and will do anything for the money for the next high. I can not believe he did that to his family over a girl. She has gotten in trouble at a bar for buyung drinks for minors so that shows you what kind of person you are dealing with as well. They are users and trouble makers looking for the next buck, and Dog and his family put them behind bars.

Tuesday nights are not the same on A&E with out dog. I am getting sick of watching CSI:Miami all the time, so I guess from now on I will have to stop watching that channel until dog is back on…if A&E won’t take him back, hopefully someone else will.

Bring back Dog! i have been watching Dog since day 1 - no one shows more compassion for individuals - no matter what they might have done than this man - he was taught us that there is always hope for people with God’s help . What you heard was a man talking in the privacy of his home as a dad with great concern for his son - This is absolutely no excuse for what was said - but it was said in the heat of the moment - something that NO ONE can say that they themselves have not done. Please bring Dog back - he is a man who showed his human side - (his comments in conversation with his son - in the privacy of his home! ) which was still wrong but he has apologized, and we as fellow christians should accept it. No one shows more concern for his fellow human beings than Dog. I dont mean to be repeating myself - but this is the way it is in point blank. A&E i ask you to look at the whole situation and do the right thing - bring DOG BACK! thank you - peace and love to all

I believe this is a wake up call for “the Dog.” I LOVE his show - but haven’t enjoyed the language. I am a Christian, and I believe that Dog is saved and forgiven - but it does say in the Bible, Dog, that you should turn from “unclean” words! If you believe the Bible as you say you do - I believe God is telling you something. But in all - still Love your show. I miss it - the people do need you to do what you do. You bring Light into the bars of hell for some people you catch. That’s what you’re called to do - show or no show. Keep up your good work - do not grow weary (that too is in the Bible). We all face the devil at times. And if there is sin in our life (language may seem little to some - but any sin can tear us down - like this one). Miss you. I believe that you are not a racist. You’ve shown love to many on your show of all colors - and different beliefs - many to some would be called “the scum of the earth” - but you reach into their hearts and tell them that they are worth something. They need to hear that - that’s why you’re needed. You know it - you say it all the time. You’ll get past this. I know a lot of people will never forgive you - but the one who matters already has. And “if God is for us, who can be against us.” You may not have the show - but life will continue. Trust in the Lord. We’re praying for you. Love ya.

Hi who really cares if the n word was used people say it all the time. The n word today does not carry the same vicious meaning as it once did.

There are black people using this word all of the time and if its that bad of a word why do they then use the n word all of the time?

If you want to take this to the next step saying only black people can use this n word then we are in a position of inequality, are we not supposed to be equal?

Point in question Martin Luther King day was just for black people, now its for everybody.

Ok we all don’t like the n word we are human and make mistakes, but do you really think that with all the good that Dog does its worth destroying him?

To me this is a family matter has no right in the public eye, no need for court. Dog did say he was sorry and that’s all that is needed.

I get called worse things than that everyday.
Tucker is a baby and should have never betrayed his father on such a matter.

Leave Dog alone to do what he does to make this planet a better place.We know the people in power have no idea on how to control lawless people.

For those who have never seen Dogs show I will point out that not only does he capture these fugitives he is nice to them all no matter what race or what they have done. Also Dog tries to help these people . Leave Dog alone and bring him back

Dog needs a second chance and everyone else who said the N word that lost

We would like to have him back. What about the bad language in the movies which are released. It is o.k. in the “Sopranos”, which is watched by lots of kids.
Nobody should interfere in a persons private life and it seems the press is out waiting for somebody to make a mistake.
It is very clear that the girlfriend of his son was out to get him, how can she know, that he used this language? She says she had never met him but she knows how he talks, so she got the information from his son and it was a plot against dog. She better be careful what she says in the future.
Hope Dog will be back soon.
