I suspected vulcanism might have something to do with it when I saw reports, even about 5 years back, on increased activity in the Arctic.  But then I didn't see that anyone had followed up on it, and I couldn't get enough info on it.  But, I see now, thanks to you, that there is definitely a good bet that's the culprit.</description>
