The ‘not quite todays star’ of Dog The Bounty Hunter story that has been doing the rounds just gets better and better. Duane ‘N-word’ Chapman has been sidelined by the A&E network for a wonderful audio outburst on his ever present cell phone, that the ‘well respected’ rag The National Enquirer in their usual muck raking style felt that they should share with the general populous, I can only imagine that it was a slow day for UFO and Elvis sightings!
As the explosion continues to get larger, we discover that it was the recipient of Dog Chapmans N-word laden diatribe that recorded the conversation, and out of frustration sold the N-word rich, and somewhat one sided conversation to the press. The exact sum has not been revealed, but I’ll bet it was for more than $100!
Our poor Dog now has a number of problems, the least of which is his status with A&E, he can always get a gig with XM satellite radio. I am sure that if he plays his cards right he could get an office right next to Howard Stern. Of course if he prefers TV there is CNN, he could become Lou Dobbs’ right hand man, Lou needs another racist friend. Lou could expand beyond his Hispanic phobia into a whole new world, no race would be safe!
The major problem that Duane Chapman faces though, are the Bobsy twins, and one of them is already on it. Al Sharpton issued a statement that he would be prepared to sit down with Dog and talk this thing through! I am sure that Bobsy twin number two, Jessie Jackson will not be far behind.
Let’s face it Dog, you are toast! I’d take a beating from A&E every time, rather than having to talk to these bozos.
What bothers me about this entire adventure is the media reaction. Sure, Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman screwed up, but, the N-word is hardly an endangered species. If you spend any time in the community, and I work in a homeless shelter so I get to see a lot, and meet the ethnic and social minorities. A term of endearment between young Black friends is ‘How you doin N-word’. It is apparently OK for them to say it, but not OK for us ‘white honky’s’ to use it.
I suspect that The Dog can climb his way out of this problem, a whole body makeover, dump the leathers, the mace, the braids, buy a nice suit, get the razor out, and have the hair cut. I am pretty sure that any Wal-Mart would employ him as a door greeter.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackPlease understand one thing– the N-word is unacceptable by any means by the black community. Yes, there are those in this community who need to rethink their use of this word; however, outside the hip-hop and rap world, the majority of blacks do not use this word, even as a term of endearment towards one another and this is a myth that needs to be stopped.
Turn off your radio, stop listening to hip-hop, and engage in a real conversation with a black person, and you will find that this word is not part of everyday speech for a black person; especially one that prides herself on being educated.
Give me a break The Dog Calling someone a N, his so nasty
looking him and his crew. They all look like a bath would
kill them. Those nasty teeth and that stanky scraggly hair
who cares about him. They all need a to take all that anger
and put a bar of soap in his hand and a rag and clean up his
body. Instead of worrying about black people.
WHAT I CAN’T UNDERSTAND IS EVERY ONE GETS SO UPTIGHT .
THEY CALL THEMSELVES THE SAME WORD .
IF YOUR A WHITE GUY YOUR SCREWED PLANE & SIMPLE.
I REFRAIN FROM USING ANY WORDS LIKE THAT BUT IF SOME NUT PULLS A CAR INFRONT OF ME I DON’T CARE WHAT COLOR THEY ARE.
I WILL FIND SOMETHING TO SAY . 2 MINS LATER ALL IS FORGOTTEN.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GOOD MOVIES LIKE BLAZING SADDLES ? EVERY ONE WAS AT FAULT BUT GUN FIRE NEVER ERUPTED DURNING OR AFTER . EVERY ONE WAS EQUAL AT THE END.
GROW UP EVERY ONE PLEASE
I hope Dog kicks his piece of *()& Sons ass and fires him. Obviously the thankless SOn of a BIT*( doesnt appreciate what his dad has done for him including bailing Lelands ass out more then once when he wrote bonds he had no business doing. Way to go Leland you selfish little prick hope you got enough money for the tape because your daddy is gonna have your ass blacklisted in the bailbond business. You just shi&*^ in your own nest because you didnt like your daddy’s opinion. Nice going a**hole.
It wasn’t his son Leland. It was his son Tucker. Unfortunately, for dog the kid is ungrateful. I feel sorry for the rest of dog’s family. Too bad we have a double standard in society. It is okay for African American people to use the “N” word but if you are white, you can’t even have an argument with your kid. Then you have to listen to the Al and Jessie show. I think all individuals should boycott rap artists’ music and comedians who use this word as well. In addition any time some one makes a racial slur against whites we need to start complaining and make a big issue and demand that they lose their jobs. It seems the only thing that people understand, which is really too bad. What happened to privacy and freedom of speech? Dog seems to be trying to atone for his derogatory comments, I don’t think he should lose his show. Maybe some community service work.
not that i am going to break my neck looking for it but i would have to hear the whole tape.
people should be able to say what they want on the phone .
i would hope no one would jump the gun on some of the things i my self have said on the phone .
i am not talking about race either.
if you let something like words run your life go some where else as i have better things to worry about !
I don’t agree with the use of racial slurs, but I do think that everyone when we become passionate about a subject, is more likely to have a loose tongue. I don’t think someone should be punished for something they did in private. The words were not meant for anyones ears but Duane’s and his sons. Just because Duane used it in the heat of that moment doesn’t mean he really means that, or feels that way. When we rant, we use words we usually wouldn’t to emphasize our emotions.
It’s pathetic that every white person making a slight racial remark about someone has their life torn assunder, yet hip-hop, rap, and comedians use the N word on a regular basis and are NEVER reprimended. I think if Sharpton and Jackson want to remove racial slurs such as this from daily use, they should start where the word is most used and stop being biased about who can and cannot use the word. Otherwise, it is likely to believe that the singling out of caucasians in itself is racism.
Go make rappers and hip-hop artists answer for the use of racial slurs in the same way caucasians such as Imus, Duane, and countless others have had to answer.
Fighting racism and striving for equality is good practice, but the ones fighting racism shouldn’t cherry pick cases.
LEAVE DOG ALONE.
I feel that what was said should have been kept in private. Between Father and Son. His son was wrong to bring a private convo to the public. Why? Jealousy, Money??? I do not know. I don’t care if you are black or white, The N-word is used everywhere in this country. This all started with Mark Furman at O.J.’s Trial and his denial he was rasict. Then comes along Michael Richards who is using the N-word in his routine. I’d also like to add the number shows I have seen, the myusic I hear the play songs using th :n: word. It is apart of our entire life in this country. A few blogs up from this mentions Blazing Saddles and It is an hysterically funny Mel Brook movie that was a way to make people laugh and maye also to bring us together in the world. We as white people don’t know how to feel or how to react to the word We are a litigous country. We want our freedom of speech, It is getting to where we can not say any thing we want .I want my freedom of speech safe. All the minority parties are making it possible to give minorityt everything they want. Now, what about thre whites that are losing benefits because “We need to help the minorities more. I guess I just want people to chil and be friendly. You see a minority, Shak their hand, invite them out, learn about them. I did. My husbnd was in the Navy and we me so many different people. Our best friends were black, but we got alog great. We wen dancing , played cards, picniced, etc. We met anothe rcouple in another duty station and got on greatly. I am not perfect and words get away from me every now and, but I do try to love everybody, no matter color, size, or disability. Sorry I went off on this rant, But I needed to ge it off my back
Boo-hoo. that’s right. when a white
person uses the ‘n’ word you are toast.
rightly so. you’re not
black so why try to understand
the culture of black people. you never will.
I like Duane and his son is a rat.
Hello All
I am so tired of white people saying well they say it; so I can say it too. Or they say it; so its not that bad. Please talk to some normal black people because we don’t all think the N word is cool. So if you meet a person who has sterotypic movement disorder and they’re banging their head on the wall, are you going to walk up to them and slam their head against the wall a few more times?
NEWSFLASH!!! Most black people do not use the N word. It is mainly in the hip hop and rap communities. Yes, its stupid. However, the history of the N word from white people is huge and we all know this. In my opinion, only the most insensitive a-hole would use that type of language. Why would someone want to go around hurting people they don’t even know?
I actually don’t think he should lose his job since it was a private conversation. But, people with influentials jobs and the ability to reach many people should lose their jobs. We don’t need to spread hatred, we have enough of that going around in this country and in the world.
There is such a double standard! You see people in black comedies making fun of white people and using racial epithets ALL THE TIME! Sometimes directly, sometimes subtle undertones and innuendo that is clearly racism. Not to mention guys like Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle who are constantly bagging on whites, hispanics….you name it. And you always see white folks in the audience laughing too, we laugh at their jokes in the movies, TV shows, etc. But God forbid, as soon as anything resembling racial jokes or racism comes out of a white mans mouth, all hell breaks loose. C’mon black America! I will always take these issues with a grain of salt, until I see blacks taking the same pains to keep away from racism as white America is expected to do!
Blacks become mad when whites use the N word because whites have always used it to degrade them. When a black person uses the word it’s not used to degrade the other person. And if people started really opening their eyes and ears they would find that the rappers and other blacks are getting the same treatment for using the N word. I don’t think “Dog” should loose his job by any means because of this, this is really between him and his family. I do believe that if you do have a problem with a certain race be a man about it and tell that race. Don’t front and then get caught saying something racist later. If you work with someone white ,black, or whatever don’t laugh and joke with them at work and then talk bad about them when you leave from around them. I worked in an office with people like this who didn’t like me because of my race, but they did tell me they hated blacks, which I gave them points for that. But it was funny how friendly they became when they needed help from the same people they hated. I love every race I might not understand all their views and ways but I still love them and I think everyone should.
been 50 now i grew up in a time where no one was sure what to call a black person .
i think there was quite a choice .
black , brown , african , negrow , now its african american !
now what if your an african american but not from america?
i was screwed
hell were all just people . pick a color .
i my self am white unless i go out in the summer & get a tan . i guess you could call me a tanned american .
as a kid we used to joke in the summer as i got a tan & fred did not .i was screwed any way you looked at it.but you have to recall the year this was 1965 in a good part of town..
at that age there was not a bad part of town !
It is stupid that Dog should lose everything he has worked so hard for, all over a private phone conversation with his son. First of all, his son should be ashamed of himself for pushing his own Father to that type of breaking point! I’m sure that Dog had to have been pushed to the “limit” to use such language! Being a good Christian, I’m sure he will forgive his son, but honestly his son should be ashamed of himself! (I’m sure he IS, if not, he will BE someday!) Secondly, Dog I’m sure, is trying very hard to understand why his own flesh and blood would hurt him on purpose! Wake up, Dog! We hav all protected and spoiled our children so damn much, THEY don’t know right from wrong any more! Using the “N” word is unacceptable, by anyone! But, it happened, get over it. Move on. None of us are perfect, We all make mistakes. I’m sure Dog has paid many times over for this one. We don’t expect for our own flesh and blood to “turn us in”. That forgiveness is between the two of them. We can all move on, and let Dog go back to doing what he does best. Kissing Beth’s Ass! I mean…..Bounty Hunting!
Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. Which one of us hasn’t said something we later regretted? Whether it be to a friend, coworker or a family member. I’m sure he feels totally betrayed by his eldest son. It seems to me that Tucker is holding a grudge against his Dad for not bailing him out before he went & did prison time. Which would explain why he seems so hellbent on destroying his fathers reputation. This may have worked but only for a while. Dog will be back to doing what he does best, catching criminals, whereas his son will slip back into being a complete unknown ex con. Karma does have a way of coming back around & biting you in the ass. Kinda like a Dog.
