Man is certainly a band with a checkered, but long history. Originally formed in 1964 under the name The Bystanders, they have seen many line up changes over the years, there was even a period where the band split up completely.

Sixty Minutes With takes a look at this band over its forty year history. Man is light rock at its very best. Included on this compilation is Romain from their third album titled simply Man, and The Welsh Connection from their last album of the 70’s.

Although from Wales in the UK, this was a band that very much had a North American rock sound, and indeed they did very well when they toured the US. Sixty Minutes With is a great introduction to this band and their style of playing.

Oh, and you know you are dealing with a band that has been around for a while when you hear that Micky Jones was unavailable to play due to having brain surgery and his son George stepped up to the plate and took his place!
