Yes we know that there is a war of terror and political news coming out of our ears,  but who cares?

For the really important news of the day is…Paris Hilton is banned from Munich’s Oktoberfest celebration.

EonLine reports the “official” reason is that she “cheapened” the festival last year, but suspects the real reason is that she showed up last year in a dirndl dress and braids, as part of an advertising campaign for….canned wine.

Canned wine at the Oktoberfest? Was zum teufel?!

Because, as everyone knows, Oktoberfest is just an excuse to get together, have a couple beers, wear Lederhosen, and sing German songs.

In 2005, 6 million tankards of beer were consumed during the festival, that dates back to the early 1800’s and now has spawned smaller festivals in cities throughout the world.

And yes, we have an Oktoberfest in Manila…sponsored by the German club and San Miguel beer, the local favorite brew. Heck, this is the Philippines. Any excuse for a celebration…
