Betty Martini's Honorary degree is a Doctor of Humanities, from a small Bible College I believe in Idaho or Washington, not sure which. She was immensely invaluable in our efforts in New Mexico in the Legislature, and came all the way from Georgia at her own expense with suitcases full of literature and DVD's for the legislators, much as she did in New Zealand. New Mexico has come closer to banning aspartame/methanol/formaldehyde/diketopiperazine than any other state, and much thanks go to Betty Martini in this regard. Were it not for the corporate lobbyists, the real villains in all of this, we would have achieved at least a labeling law.

Aspartame is much like asbestos, leaded gasoline, DDT, etc.: the corporations claim it is safe, and influence a few regulatory bodies to do the same, and until enough bodies pile up and perhaps a few compensatory lawsuits, it will stay on the market. For those cronies and apparatchiks who claim it is safe, be my guest, sit down and drink a case of diet sodas and chew some sugarless gum for the next six weeks: you will never be the same!

For the real truth, not the corporate BS from Ajinomoto, the world's largest manufacturer of aspartame, also of another neurotoxic additive: monosodium glutamate, just google and read Dr. H.J. Roberts' article: ASPARTAME DISEASE: AN FDA APPROVED EPIDEMIC.

We have lists and lists and more lists of scientific studies in the archives of the group. It would take you days to read them all. If you are as "scientific" as you claim you are, then you would read them all and critique them, instead of making this sweeping statement that all 1000 of our "sincere" members are "unscientific", as opposed you this very elevated opinion you have of yourself. You are starting to really remind me of Bill O'Reilly.
